Nardella, 25, signed with the Capitals as a free agent from Notre Dame on April 5, 2019.
He has yet to play in an NHL game. The Washington Capitals re-signed forwards Garrett Pilon along with Michael Sgarbossa and defenseman Bobby Nardella on Thursday, all to two-year, $1.5 million contracts.
